Ariette is a music fairy, twin sister of Lyra.

In Trill Changes Her Tune, Ariette and Lyra fought over which type of instruments to play at the big orchestra - traditional or new. Until the Trill/Cleff debate started, they were shown to always do things exactly the same- making the same statements and same motions. The debate split them apart, causing several fights. By the story's end, both had seen the side of the other, and they were close once more.
