In Tinker Bell and the Legend of the Neverbeast (film), a baby hawk was secretly being taken care by Fawn, who wanted to free it back in the forest after helping its recovery.

In Fairy Dust and the Quest for the Egg it explains that among Never Land's animal life, hawks are among the most dangerous. Scouting-talent fairies keep watch for them, but even with their efforts hawks kill several fairies a year.

In In the Realm of the Never Fairies it explains that scout's eyesight rivals that of hawks and that when a scout makes three quick shrills it indicates a circling hawk.
